Exploring the Duoro - Starting June 4, 2025 - Arriving Early

Recently retired male traveling solo, arriving early on June 3. Planning to do two inexpensive small group tours in Madrid on June 3 and June 4 before joining-up with Tauck. Wondering if there are other early arrivers who might want to join me on these brief tours and / or for a meal. If interested, contact F. Myers directly at frmyers@comcast.net.

    Most solo travelers on Tauck are female. You will probably have plenty of company, and companionship.

    When we took this cruise there were only 43 guests out of a possible 84. I would estimate that one-third were females traveling alone. This was shortly after the world resumed operations post COVID. I have taken just a handful of river cruises —compared to land tours—but have always seen 'solo' travelers. We always invite a single to join us when we see one sitting alone, especially in the lounge. We prefer to dine by ourselves.

    Thanks for your responses, Sealord and kfnknfzk! It's encouraging to know that there will probably be many other solo travelers on my tour. Of course, I'm looking forward to meeting everyone on board.
