You will be going in the Long Rainy Season which generally lasts to the end of May. However, this can vary each year and more so with climate change. We were there at the end of December one time when the Short Rains were historically supposed to be over. We had a few days of torrential rain and flooding, incredible thunder and lightening, we had to divert from the usual way to the Four Seasons because of flooding. The scheduled safari walk was in very squelchy wet grass. We do have some great photos of elephants frolicking in the rain, a male lion looking very sorry for himself with a wet flattened mane. That was also the time we saw a mom cheetah with 6 cubs, they were soaking wet too. Mostly we have been to Africa in the dry seasons which we prefer.
