Jacket required?

My paperwork says jacket recommended but not required on this trip. Will my husband feel uncomfortable if he does not have a jacket? Did most men wear jackets or not?

    My husband never concerned himself with what others wore. He always traveled with a jacket because he chose to. Very much a personal choice.

    I going next month and will be taking a sport coat. My wife and I are planning on dinner at the Savoy, plus I believe the tour has a dinner there. As kfnknfzk referenced, it’s more a personal choice. Other trips I have’t taken one. Also, my wife likes to see me in a sport coat. lol.

    Every group of guests will be different. We've had tours when few men brought a sport coat and others where the majority did. The Savoy dinner for the group will be in a private dining room. As an alternative my husband often brings a tie and a nice vneck sweater to wear with his dress shirt for dinner. Warm and comfortable.
