Week in Ireland Luggage Question
We are going on the Week In Ireland Small Group tour. We were told that we will each get one checked bag and for the bus, we should plan on a small "squishable" bag that will fit above our seat our at our feet. Can we have a roll-on carry-on bag put in the luggage compartment of the carriage?

Generally yes, if there is room. You are usually asked to carry that downstairs to the bus yourself. You will not have access to it during the day. We carry a small fold up into itself lightweight ‘backpack’ for our daily things…rain jacket, umbrella, water, tissue, hat, etc or phone, sunscreen etc etc.
Do you really need a roll on as well as a suitcase for just a week?
I don't but my wife.......
😂
Yes, there is a dedicated compartment under the bus specifically for small bags you bring to the bus yourself and retrieve at the next hotel. The compartment can get very crowded on a full sized tour but on a small group there will be plenty of room. Your big checked bag will be picked up from your hotel by the bell staff, counted by the TD and loaded by the coach driver. That's why they limit the number. Be sure to have name tags on all bags including your day bag. Just makes sure that if you forget it somewhere they know who to give it to,
Thanks!
I was on that tour in the fall. I had a medium bag, a carryon as well as a rollator and there was no problem to accommodate these. On the small group tour you still get a full size bus ! At least we did.
