Weather question for Canadian Rockies tour

We are taking the Canadian Rockies tour but vacillating between August and the early September date. August is a busy travel month so September is preferable but average temps seem to really drop in September. For anyone who went in September can you please comment on how you found the weather and if you felt it was too chilly. Thanks much.

We have always taken Tauck’s Canadian tours in the Sep/Oct timeframe and always experienced very nice weather, certainly not warm but not cold either. Layering is the key to staying comfortable. The heaviest outer garments we took were rain jackets with removable linings. We never experienced rain, however.

It was a bit nippy the day we viewed the glacier but that was a function of the wind. I do recommend bringing scarves.
