Any ideas on clothing for Nova Scotia and PEI trip?
I noticed most of these entries are rather old. Anyone been in 2024? I'm looking for suggestions on what to pack especially clothes but any thing I might need. Is this more formal or will jeans do during the day? Any formal wear needed besides the first and last dinner? I noticed the link in the 'what to pack' section took me to a company with no products listed.

Jeans are fine. However, when I travel, I would only pack one pair of jeans. I bring pants that I can usually hand wash. In other words, clothing that can easily dry. No “formal” wear is essential at all. What do you mean by formal wear? It will be windy in some areas since you’re on the coast.
We took this tour with Tauck years ago. It is very casual, use layers. At that time the hotels were a three star at the best and most only had full size beds, not even queen. I assume it is better now.
This is not a very long tour, I went last year, it's very casual, nice slacks and tops are good for the welcome and farewell dinners, I hope you have Rob for your TD, he's awesome and a lot of fun, some of the people wore shorts but make sure to bring a jacket for going whale watching, if it's a rainy day it will be cold. A lot of times when dinner was included we went right after sightseeing so there isn't time to change.
Very casual. Be prepared for wind and rain.
We did the full Canadian Maritimes tour last Sep and had a mix of warm dry weather and cool/wet weather. Definitely a more casual tour. One nice-ish outfit for a few of the diners. FYI, the link to Necessary Gear is mainly for the more adventurous tours but they also have some Tauck logo merchandise if you want like hats, shirts, jackets.
Necessary Gear must confuse a lot of people for most tours. It’s also very exciting
I did the tour in August 2024. It's a very casual tour. Most people wore casual clothes even for the final dinner. We walked from the hotel to the Citadel for our opening dinner, which was the most dressy meal, but still, most women wore pants and a nice top or a not dressy dress for dinner. The same outfit will do for the hotel restaurant in Halifax. Jeans are perfectly fine for the day and some nights, which are totally casual. They may be too hot for some days, though. I see that in most of my photos I am either wearing a light sweater or have one tied around my waist. But weather can change from year to year!
