Ephesus Dinner - Attire suggestions

We will be there as part of a later June sailing. Is this dinner a fancier evening dress up than normal? I am also wondering how much temperature change you experienced in the evening? Any feedback you can provide would be appreciated.

  • This is not a fancy evening. Good walking shoes are essential, as you will be walking on uneven walkways. We were there in April . We both wore casual slacks (not jeans)and collar shirt. We had jackets, but were able to remove them during dinner. Obviously, it will be much warmer in June.

  • Some people dressed and some wore shorts and sandals. It is not a Tauck event, it is a Windstar event.

You can see pictures and text of our dinner at Ephesus at https://www.mikeandjudytravel.com/2024-2Athens-02.htm#EphesusDinner

The WindStar ship had it's disappointments, but one advantage was that it was small enough (limited number of passengers) that Tauck could do the dinner at Ephesus. Due to the limited space in front of the Library there's a limit to how many people they can seat. It was one of the real highlights of the cruise.

  • Expectations: If you are expecting” Icon of the Seas “ don’t book a trip on Windstar. They are small sailing ships and small cruise ships. We stopped doing big cruise ships ten years ago. We do Tauck and Windstar sometimes … mostly … independently… There is something for everyone .Tauck (16) Windstar (18) big ships (50).
