Kenya Visa
Hello looking for a little advice here. I applied for my Kenya Visa a few days too soon. It will be valid when I enter the country but expires two days before I leave (7/16 Kenya/Tanzania trip). I called Tauck Journey Preparedness and they said not to worry as long as it is valid when you enter the country we'll be fine. However Google says I can receive a fine or deportation. Can anyone help on this? I've sent Tauck email with no response - I can apply for another Visa and pay the fee to have it expire after I leave if folks think that's a better idea. I don't see a way to extend the visa online without visiting an office.

I would re-apply.
I would not dare risk having an incorrect visa whatever Tauck say, they are not always accurate about even the important things. I would reapply and eat the loss of money.
Well Please see my posts about this.I applied 93 days before and faced similar situation.Re apply and get the dates covered fully.Cannot risk detention or delays.Journey Preparation team initially told me similar advice:don’t worry it can be handled at the border.But another member replied that that is incorrect.I contacted the consulate ( Kenyan);they advised to reapply.We have now the correct visa.
they may look at your visa when you depart Nairobi. If your visa has expired you are in the country illegally. You are actually supposed to carry the Kenya visa with you as you travel. Get a new visa.
Thank you all - I felt VERY uncomfortable - I just reapplied, well worth the $$ for peace of mind.

Thank you for posting this. I was going to start my application 90 days out. Now I'll wait to make sure that I cover the tour duration.
Been trying to apply for Kenya e-visa. Get to upload passport page. Keeps failing....doesn't load file. Gets to 96% and stops. File only .26 MB. Tried my wife's file...same story. Same files I used for Tanzania.
Started yesterday. Gave up. Started over today. Same problem.
Tried Chrome.....same story. Any suggestions?
Have been through all and more.that!Just get visa central to get it for you.Their system and website are not up to par.Unless you want more frustration,leave it to visa central . So,you have more time preparing for the trip.
