Tanzania Visa payment and file load issue
Hello fellow K&T travelers. Working on our Tanzania Visas for Sept 8th journey. At the payment stage for my wife and keeps failing with 500 error code. I did try the option to use the control number on site provide in the form but that also doesn't go through even though it get to the point of submitting, screen never comes back with a confirm, just shows clock ticking down. Any others have this experience and what was the solution? I have tried at least 5 times over 3 days. The other issue is when I do the review at the stage before payment and view the files loaded for me all is good except the itinerary and flight document which shows as a blank document. Also trying multiple times. Has it just gotten worse lately or are these the norm. ( have seen some others post but not as extreme) Thanks for any insight.

If you are paying by credit card then you probably need to alert the card fraud department that you are doing a Tanzania based transaction. These will throw warnings on the approval process and deny them as fraudulent. Similar to when they tell you to alert them when you actually travel overseas. Not sure this is your problem, but I ran into issues before I realized I needed to contact the fraud department to have them release the block. Something everyone should do prior to applying for the African visas.
We did not alert the fraud department and we did not get an alert from the credit card company either. We had to get nine visas for our family, one was for a British passport too. The other day, I suggested to someone to log out and then in again and that worked for them, I guess you have tried that. My husband had to do that as the website often goes down without it being obvious.
Tanzania Visas are taking up to 35 days to process at the moment. Suggest to anyone going to Tanzania to start the process earlier than 90 days as that one only kicks in once you arrive in the country and is good for a year.
Thanks for the input Kazootripper1 and British. I spoke Wirth the Tanzania Embassy and they advised me to send email with screen captures and explanation which I did. Shortly thereafter the tech support person responded telling me they had an issue and it was resolved however still getting the same error. Prior to starting the process I spoke with credit card rep since when I did my Qatar flights they initially declined and wanted to avoid that problem. I'll keep trying.
To my surprise and delight Embassy tech support responded quickly that they had an issue and resolved. Took a few more attempts but payment final went through.
