Needed amount of cash for AUS and NZ

Using CC for majority but wondering how much AUS and NZ currency needed for small incidentals and I need to tip on pre excursion. Thinking $100-$150 pp for the time in AUS and same for NZ. Taking the Grand Australia/NZ trip 10/13

    Hi Suziequew. We are on the 10/13 trip also. I look forward to meeting you.

    We are coming a few days early so I am bringing 200 AUD and 100 NZD (about 200 USD total). Agree it will mostly be credit card but I’m more comfortable with a little cash on hand. We can hit an ATM if necessary.

    We bought some beautiful artwork from native people at Ayers Rock...they only worked with cash. I agree with $100 Aus and $100 NZ, unless you have really expensive tastes. The items we purchased were for $30 or so.

    Good to know, we are on the 10/18 tour and I was thinking $500 AUD and NZD but I'll cut it down to $200 each, thanks!
