Ultimate Alps and Dolomites

We are 80, widely-traveled, experienced fans of Tauck and interested in the small group tour in June. We can walk a mile or two, just fine, but appreciate when that is also optional in order to simply enjoy the hotel or surroundings. I do see a good amount of personal time on the agenda -- that is excellent. What about the scheduled walks ...mandatory or is occasional informal "me time" OK?

Comments

  • I don't think anything on the itinerary is ever mandatory. You can always choose to do your own thing, but just make sure the tour director is aware of your plans.

  • Nothing is "mandatory," except having bags ready for pickup at the designated time and being at the bus when it is time to go to the next stop on the tour.

  • This was one of our favorite Tauck trips. I don't remember anything being too strenuous, but you can certainly opt out if you aren't interested. The scenery is spectacular.

  • I've know of a lot of people that stay behind at the hotel and do their own thing, so don't worry about staying behind if you need to.
