Pre-tour days in Barcelona

We'd hoped to get to Figueres to see Teatre Museu Dali - a couple of questions are 1. Can we get there and back in a day using rail travel from Barcelona? 2. Is it worth going there instead of finding museums in Barcelona? Thanks for any advice.

    My stepson has taken the train to see both Dalí’s home and museum but thought doing it in one day made for a long day, especially when stopping for lunch. It can be done, however. Check the train schedule for times.

    There are museums in Barcelona; it depends on what interests you.

    Hi Jeffrey, I've not done the trip to Figueres but recall reading that it is pretty easy to get there and back in a day. However, Barcelona is an amazing city and if you have never been there and have limited time, you will probably want to just stay. You couldn't experience it all even if you had 2 weeks.

    I did it with a Viator tour, no problem doing it in one day.

    I do agree with Wan, there's a lot to see in Barcelona, I went 3 days early so I had enough time to see Barcelona and Figueres.
