Clothing at night on Le Boreal
For dinner on the ship, is casual clothing-such as jeans-acceptable attire, regardless of the dining area? What about attire for the welcome reception and final night on the ship? TIA.

We have done this trip. I don’t think jeans would be ok. You could probably come to dinner wearing your ski skins, but it’s a French ship, and at a minimum you would feel underdressed in jeans. The ship will be probably half French people and they ‘dress’ for dinner. There are several nights on this trip that you will probably want to be at least ‘country club casual’. On those nights the French people will be ‘dressed’.
Here is a photo from the Captain's Gala dinner to give you an idea of what people wore on one of the formal nights.
I just got back from this trip. I had a long sleeve button up shirt and slacks. While it was fine for most nights, for the galas I did feel a little underdressed. If I had it to do again, I think I might throw a dress sweater or sports coat in.
