We have been to Budapest three times with Tauck on various cruises. We extended our time there all three times as it was an easy walkable city. We walked to a spa from our hotel one rainy afternoon. No guide necessary. As far as a night cruise -- Tauck usually does that. There are some boat tours that you might find on Viator or other Find My Guide.

We booked a private tour thru Viator of the Danube Bend which had some interesting sights outside of Budapest and a cruise back into the city.
Take a tour of the Spanish Riding School and attend Lipizzaners morning exercise.
