Horseback riding in Jasper National Park
Is the horseback riding an option I can work thru Tauck or get a reservation thru Jasper Stables?
Also is there any easy ways to get a taxi to and from the Jasper stables from the Fairmont Jasper Lodge?

I recommend e-mailing the Lodge’s concierge for assistance. We did not horseback ride, choosing to just soak in the gorgeous grounds.

We went horseback riding at Jasper. I think we arranged it through the hotel. I don’t remember the details but it was easy.
Hi Margaret, we went horseback riding here also, back in 2005. My husband remembers that the hotel had a shuttle that brought 4 of us to the stables. We didn’t make a reservation until we were there and our tour director talked about it. In 2005, it was our first Tauck tour and the tour was Best of the Canadian Rockies. This July we are taking the Grand Canadian Rockies Tauck tour and plan to go horseback riding again, either in Jasper or Banff. It is a beautiful area! I used to have my own horse, many years ago, so we try to go horseback riding when we travel. I have to remind my husband not to tell them I have riding experience. That sometimes makes the ride very adventurous. I would not want to deter anyone from going, so I won’t go into details, but they did have have to swap out horses for me here. I would not hesitate to go riding here again.
We have been horseback riding in numerous countries. My wife is an experienced rider and once owned a horse, but she only weighs one nundred pounds so they aloways give me the lively horse and she gets the plow horse. That really annoys her.
