Bike tour
We will be on the Normandy,Brittany, Paris and Loire Valley tour in September 2026. We are thinking about booking a Viator full day bike tour of Versailles that includes the palace and gardens. Has anyone done this?

No but it's a good idea if you want to see more than the main chateaux. The entire Versailles property is huge so a bike would be handy. It is a bit hilly so be prepared.
We did this trip a month ago. We did not book an extra day at the beginning because nothing was scheduled on the itinerary before the welcome dinner and we had seen the palace before. Our room wasn't ready until after 3pm, so we hung around the hotel for a long time. Some people went to the palace and the gardens which Tauck did include if booked through the hotel (not listed on the itinerary).
On this trip now. We arrived a day early and walked the grounds on day 0 and day 1, in additional to visiting the chateau and little triannon. We didn't feel bikes were needed and we are avid bikers.
