Essence of Japan , early November ? Also small or classic Group ?

We are thinking of booking Essence of Japan in 2027 . Sometime between Oct 30 and no later than mid November . We enjoy cool weather . What are your thoughts about picking this time of year and also classic or group tour . Thank you for your opinions

    Fall foliage is beautiful. Enjoy! We did the classic group and we had only 5 more people than the small group.
