Wildfire Smoke

We are suppose to leave this Saturday, August 8th, on this trip. I am wondering how the wildfires and the smoke might affect our trip? Anyone been on this trip recently to share your experience? Better to go or cancel and try again next year? Thank you in advance.

    Hi Lakesideaa, I just got back from the Grand Canadian Rocky tour and even though the train portion of our trip was cancelled, I am still glad we went. Vancouver and Victoria were nice and there was only a little smoke for a day in Vancouver. We had to travel by bus from Vancouver to Kamloops and there was a lot of smoke in Kamloops, but that was for a day. Our bus drove past heavy smoke in the mountain and we saw a helicopter picking up water from the lake. Once we got to Jasper, Lake Louise and Banff the sky was blue and weather excellent. Unfortunately next year will probably be the same with wildfires. Our tour director, Rachel Peer, was the best!
