Hi Al, Set to travel mid to end of October. I thought I would begin a new discussion about this trip because the other conversation got off target. Seems as if we do spend lots of time on the bus, ugh. Does Tauck provide historical, cultural etc commentary during some of that time? Do they show any relevant movies on those long journeys? When the itinerary states, "rest of the day on your own," about how many hours did you have to explore and discover things?

We went in April. Yes lot's of bus time. Everyone gave feedback accordingly. No movies. There was usually a local guide on board giving relevant commentary. Free time was adequate. Given that, it's still the best way to see the entire country and very educational.
