🦟 Calling All African Safari Travelers! 🦁🌍

I'm getting so excited for my upcoming safari to South Africa this fall! As I prepare, I have a question for those of you who have already experienced an African safari.

I'd love to hear about your experience with malaria medication.

Did you take malaria medication? If so, which one?
Did you have any side effects?
Did you feel it was worth taking?

I'm also curious about the mosquitoes.

Were mosquitoes a big problem where you traveled?
What time of day did you notice them most?
Did you get many bites?
What insect repellent worked best?
Did you treat your clothing with permethrin, or buy pre-treated clothing? Was it worth it?

Finally, if you've been on safari, I'd love to know:

✨ What is the ONE thing you packed that you're so glad you brought?
✨ And what's something you packed that you never used?

I appreciate any tips, tricks, or advice you're willing to share. Hearing from people who've actually been there is invaluable!
