Bridges tour - average age of kids
I would like to take my 17 year old granddaughter on the bridges tour for her senior trip. What is the average age of kids on these trips and do you think a 17 year old girl would enjoy a trip like this?

We have taken three Bridges tours. They really are geared to younger children. There really is no average age but I would say I would never consider taking a 17 year old on one, I would take her on a regular Tauck tour! Unless she is totally against traveling with older people. She will be a favorite on the tour. We have experienced this several times when older teens are on regular tours.
Tauck are going to launch tours to include young adults soon, we were invited to be on a talk with one of the people planning the trips just recently.

Really? It truly feels like they are expanding too fast and losing focus…why don’t they wait and see if the Roam and the women only tours catch on before starting another new line? 🤷♀️
PammyK, I would also consider a regular Tauck tour with your granddaughter. We recently traveled to France with our son and daughter-in-law (not teens but still young by Tauck standards) and they had a great time. Other Tauck guests enjoyed interacting with them. On our latest trip, there was a grandmother with her "young adult" granddaughter and the granddaughter seemed to do just fine with the older guests. I think the seniors enjoy younger guests and actively reach out to them.
Our first two Tauck trips were bridges and our daughters were 16 and 17 years old. (10 years ago) They met so many friends that they still keep in touch with today. We have also taken our granddaughter on a bridges tour at age 7 and she was the youngest and didn't have anyone her age on the tour. So I recommend taking older kids on the bridges tours.
The most important thing about the Bridges trips is spending time together, regardless of age.
I honestly feel a Bridges tour is for much younger children than for a 17 year old teenager. My daughter handled all the adult tours as a teenager very well. She would not have enjoyed a Bridges tour with small children. You know your grandchild and what would be the best for her.
