Shorts or long pants - where appropriate or not…
Heading for the Mid-Sept Lisbon-to-Madrid Portugal and Spain tour. Weather looks pretty warm; are there daytime stops on this tour that will require women wear long pants?
And, also, where shorts ARE appropriate, what’s considered proper length?
Thanks!

if there are any churches, shorts will not be appropriate. Capri length is a safer bet. Shoulders should be covered. Some churches might require covering the head. It can still be very hot at that time of year.
This tour is rich with visiting Christian, Jewish and Moslem sites, not all of which have active services. I would refrain from wearing shorts except for your free day in Marbella. Bring a bathing suit for that day. Linen and gauze tops and pants are good choices for warmer weather since they are light and airy.
Breathtakingly beautiful Moorish architecture and influences are everywhere, especially in Seville, Córdoba, Ronda and Granada. This was our favorite Tauck tour. We found everything about it to be superb. Enjoy.
ON all trips I've done, the TD will tell you in advance about any dress restrictions.
