Booked this trip for my parents and I for June/July next year. Indeed, just placed a payment just now. Excited for it and to visit a few countries in quick succession. We're arriving early in Amsterdam and have a few plans for arrival day and before boarding that we'll firm up closer to. However, we got an email a week or so ago about an itinerary change where the Lake Como trip will now be on our final day before the farewell dinner (as opposed to the day before) and the day before will a tour of Milan in the morning and then a free afternoon.
Between the free night of arrival and the free afternoon, will we have enough time to factor in a trip to the Duomo and to see the Last Supper? I ask as the description of the tour in Milan seems to indicate it's an exterior tour ONLY of the Duomo. Slightly disappointing but if we must break out, I think that would the thing to do. I also want to try and get to a few of the ruins of Mediolanum, but it wouldn't be the first time I had to sneak something in between the end of an activity and a farewell dinner.
Unrelated: The prices for flights from MXP back to the US are unbelievable at the moment. :) Might have to make some different arrangements.
