We have done multiple Tauck European river cruises, but are taking our first land tour. Most of the men on river cruises wear jackets for the captain’s welcome and farewell dinners. The women usually wear cocktail attire. What is the norm for the welcome and farewell dinners for land tours that don’t include any evenings in fancy palaces?

    It's basically the same. We've done four of each and there is generally a mix of guys with jackets/ties and ones just in collared dress shirts/ slacks. Women in dresses or just nice tops and slacks.
