Spectacular trip

Although this was our 29th Tauck trip, it was our first Bridges trip and it was one of the best we have taken. Everything from the itinerary to the pace to the hotels and location to the Laura, our tour director was as good as it could be. The day we went to the Tower of London, the London Eye and did the speedboat ride on the Thames River was outstanding. Watching our 9 and 11 year old grandsons experience one awesome moment after another is something we will never forget. And to wrap up the trip with an outstanding magic show was the perfect ending.

Thanks for the post. We are on the 7/31 tour. Any tips for us. How late was the Louve after hours tiur? Does the group go up the Eiffel Tower. Did you bring your own lunch onto the EuroStar train?

    Thanks

    Tim

The Louvre tour was during the day but they did a great job with the kids. We went to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. It isn’t the top, but still a good view. We brought some snacks for the train. After that many days we could afford to miss a lunch. Would suggest renting a golf cart at Versailles. You can see much more of the garden than by foot

I guess it depends on which tour. Our June 16 departure for Castles and Kings was amazing. Our 10 year old grandson loved it. Our tickets for the Eiffel Tower included going to the top. The Louvre was after closing and we were the only tour group in the museum. We did purchase snacks for our train ride on the EuroStar. It was one of our best Tauck trips and our first Bridges tour.

Perhaps it was the tour and its itinerary that was so spectacular/awesome/etc,

    or

Perhaps it was just experiencing a tour through the eyes and emotions of your grandchildren that made it so spectacular. Those 9-11 year old grandkids are so full of energy and enthusiasm that seeing them enjoy themselves and be awed by the adventure and sights would likely make most any tour 'the best we have taken'.

I'm glad you were able to have those experiences with your grandchildren.

Thanks for the golf cart tip and answers to my the questions. Is the tube station close to the London Hotel? This is our first Tauck trip after taking many Adventure by Disney trips. We are looking forward to the trip.

    Mitchum.
In London you are close to the tube. Embankment. Also walking distance is Trafalgar Square. Depends which line you need to access. Very convenient.

Indeed, the hotel is less than a 5 minute walk to the tube. The hotel is a great location. Trafalgar Square, Royal Horseguards and Buckingham Palace easy walks. We even walked back from the British Museum

Interesting the differences in the Louvre and Eiffel Tower visits depending on the date of the tour. We were on the one beginning July 17, 2022 and did NOT go to the top of the Eiffel Tower which was also very crowded on the 2nd floor; we were in the Louvre with huge crowds and could barely get into the room with the Mona Lisa????? It was our 7th Tauck tour and I am surprised that there is that much variation from a tour starting on the 16th and one on the 17th??? We are used to the "after hours" private tours and perks with Tauck. Not sure how you check to see the specifics of your particular dates.

Were you on the same Bridges tour, Castles and Kings; London to Paris as LBaker and enabz78? Most of the the regular tours that stop in Paris, e.g. Normandy, Brittany, Loire Valley and Paris, do not go into or up the Eiffel Tower.
