Vancouver
We're returning through Vancouver after Alaska land/cruise tour ending July 1. Looking for suggestions please as an alternative to a 14-hour day to/fro Butchart Gardens tour. We only have a day and a half in Vancouver. Thank you!

I love Vancouver. I can spend hours on Granville Island, for art and food, and just wandering multiethnic Robson St. is great fun, even though Beard Papa's, and its matcha cream puffs, sadly are gone. But I'm a wanderer, not a Bucket List person, so others may have more specific suggestions.
Things to do in Vancouver:
Visit the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Chinese garden
Visit Stanley Park - Go to the zoo or rose garden
Visit Gastown - Historic section of town with shops and restaurants
Visit Granville Island - Converted industrial area with shops, restaurants, a farmer's market and a microbrewery
Ride the Hop-on Hop-off tour bus - all of these sights and more are on their route
