I have two restaurants for you. Caru' cu bere is a Romanian steakhouse serving traditional Romanian fare, homemade soups, and desserts. It is located in a historic building decorated with carved wood paneling, stained glass, and mosaics. I went on a hot August afternoon last year and there was live musical entertainment during the meal! It was pretty crowded with locals and tourists but the food and ambience were well worth it. Another option is the Pizzeria Volare. This casual Italian restaurant had amazing pizza...one of the best pizzas I ever had. You can search and read about both on Trip Advisor.
MCD - I can't help you with restaurants...I traveled there independently quite some time ago, but I recommend their regional speciality of cabbage rolls. The tripe soup is also delicious and a favorite with locals.
