Arriving in AM in Amsterdam before checkin

Since our arrival is in the AM, any adventure suggestions in Amsterdam? I know the cruise ship will take our baggage and we can relax in the lounge until check-in but I hate to miss any opportunities we can do as first time travelers.

What are you interested in? Google things to see and do in Amsterdam and narrow it down. Figure out how far it is from your hotel by going on Google maps, you can put in the walking feature.

Short, what a great city Amsterdam is! I love the hop on hop off buses that you can pick up along the canal near Centraal Starion. Some even include a canal cruise. Or perhaps just take a canal cruise. I look for a hop on hop off bus every time I land in a major city after a long flight that arrives early in the AM. The buses are like big baby carriages for the jet lagged!

The area referred to as the Nine Little Streets is great for strolling.

Another museum near the ship is the Maritime Museum.

I’m starting to get the drift of this. You are arriving the day the tour begins? You may need to re-think this if that is the case. You should always plan on arriving a day early for a Tauck tour. The cost of an extra night in a hotel is nothing compared to losing the tour.
