We recently returned from the Legendary Scottish Isles tour. It was excellent, however, there was one major disappointment. For two years we had looked forward to dining on the Royal Yacht Britannia in the main dining room. When we arrived in Edinburgh, we were told that our group would be eating on the Royal Deck, basically a tearoom for visitors. We were assured it would have a great view. It had a view of a disassembled oil derrick and what appeared to be an abandoned apartment building. The main dining room had candlelight and wonderful period furniture. We had none of that. Where you ate depended on your choice of hotel in Edinburgh, but we weren't told that. We have taken 12 Tauck tours, and this is the first time we've had such a disappointment!!
