Hi Pat W, sandyfeet here to fill you in on my Ireland tour. I love the places we visited, but I went two days early to Dublin and then stayed two days after in Dublin. As someone on the Forum mentioned, Rick Steves audio guides are great. The one he has for Dublin is a perfect two day walk - first on the south side of the River Liffey and second on the north side. I also loved going to the Gap of Dunloe and the Lakes of Killarney by jaunting cart and motor boat. In Galway I purchased a claddagh ring from Thomas Dillon who has been making them since the 1700s. As for the specific tour I took, it was Grand Circle’s Ireland in Depth. I would not recommend it unless you want to spend two weeks on a bus with 38 other people, but what I enjoyed about it is that it gave me a wonderful overview of the south and west of Ireland last October. I loved the country and the people so much that I am going back with just my husband this May. Dublin is an amazingly walkable city. 🍀
