Since we can't update the "About me" field, I thought I'd put some information here.
I'm a retired electrical engineer, having spent the majority of my career in communications. I hold 32 US patents, mostly on communications subjects.
Although it was not the focus of my career work, I have a decent knowledge of power distribution, both in the US and internationally, especially for residential service. I also have some knowledge of three-phase and single-phase electric motors and their control systems, but mostly only smaller motors maybe up to 10HP.
After I retired, I took classes in woodworking and developed some level of skill. I've taught woodworking classes, short courses, in veneering, carving, dovetails, and box-making. I’ve built a lot of furniture for our home, to the point where my wife told me she doesn’t have room for any more in our house😊
My wife, Judy, and I travel a couple of times a year and I document our trips on our blog, www.mikeandjudytravel.com

Re: The Louvre and St Chapelle
I've gone to St Chapelle as a walk-up and never had any problems. But maybe it wasn't busy the times I was there. (View Post)1 -
Re: POLL: If you've done the Morocco trip, which airports did you use?
We flew into and out of Casablanca because we could get the best flights that way. We had to depart and return to JFK, which was not the best, but it worked. I would recommend avoiding American Airli… (View Post)1 -
Re: Tour director- Chris Morrison- Tour 9/21
I don't remember where he was from. He didn't have a Boston accent. I'll ask my wife - she talked with him a bit more than me. He used "wicked" in his original email to us (d… (View Post)1
