Since we can't update the "About me" field, I thought I'd put some information here.
I'm a retired electrical engineer, having spent the majority of my career in communications. I hold 32 US patents, mostly on communications subjects.
Although it was not the focus of my career work, I have a decent knowledge of power distribution, both in the US and internationally, especially for residential service. I also have some knowledge of three-phase and single-phase electric motors and their control systems, but mostly only smaller motors maybe up to 10HP.
After I retired, I took classes in woodworking and developed some level of skill. I've taught woodworking classes, short courses, in veneering, carving, dovetails, and box-making. I’ve built a lot of furniture for our home, to the point where my wife told me she doesn’t have room for any more in our house😊
My wife, Judy, and I travel a couple of times a year and I document our trips on our blog, www.mikeandjudytravel.com

Re: Questions about recent experiences on Sicilian Odyssey tour
Henrypoon is harmless. I've encountered much, much worse on other forums. If you don't like his post, just ignore them. Complaining about him, or to him, only feeds the troll. (View Post)3 -
Re: Tauck Veterans- Rate Your Trips 😃
Not with Tauck, but with AMA Waterways. It was an excellent trip. https://www.mikeandjudytravel.com/2023-1RiversAndRails-01.htm It's listed above. (View Post)1 -
Re: Questions about recent experiences on Sicilian Odyssey tour
British is correct. People who have money don't have to flaunt it. For many of us (me especially) we got what we have by being frugal (frugal sounds better than "cheap") (View Post)1
