Since we can't update the "About me" field, I thought I'd put some information here.
I'm a retired electrical engineer, having spent the majority of my career in communications. I hold 32 US patents, mostly on communications subjects.
Although it was not the focus of my career work, I have a decent knowledge of power distribution, both in the US and internationally, especially for residential service. I also have some knowledge of three-phase and single-phase electric motors and their control systems, but mostly only smaller motors maybe up to 10HP.
After I retired, I took classes in woodworking and developed some level of skill. I've taught woodworking classes, short courses, in veneering, carving, dovetails, and box-making. I’ve built a lot of furniture for our home, to the point where my wife told me she doesn’t have room for any more in our house😊
My wife, Judy, and I travel a couple of times a year and I document our trips on our blog, www.mikeandjudytravel.com

Re: DIY Greenbooks
Thanks for pointing that feature out. The only negative is that it makes the text fairly small. (View Post)1 -

Re: Covid Requirements
I had a similar experience. We did Machu Picchu and the Gapalagos in September 2021 and everyone on the tour was very careful and masked. No one came down with COVID and we were tested pre-tour, prio… (View Post)2
