Is there too much travel time on the Viet, Cam, Thai tour?

Looking at trips for next year and considering Viet, Cam, Thai. Six intra-tour flights in 16 days seems like a lot of time waking up to sit at airports. If you've done this tour, did it seem like too much travel time vs. touring time to you?

  • I did the Vietnam, Cambodia & Laos trip, that also involved several flights. Definitely worth it!! I don't know how else it could have been done.

I did it! It was my first Tauck tour, it was Fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!! no, the airtime and the number of flights didn't feel too long or too many- the time at the airports was minimal.

  • BKMD-We wanted to do this tour but were also concerned about all the flights/travel time. We usually choose Tauck for our tours, but this time we went on with with a competitor with only one on tour flight and it was fabulous. Message me if you want more info.

  • BKMD, I visited Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and South Vietnam with another company in 2017. It was by far, one of my top trips. Very, very different from Japan. Much more exotic and colorful, with wonderful sites and lovely people everywhere. I know Tauck does not include Laos, which you might consider adding on your own, as Luang Prabang was sensational. The TD I just had for Essence of Japan is a specialist in this itinerary, residing in Bangkok.

  • Absolutely not, it goes fast. I don't remember spending a lot of time in the airports or a lack of touring, I went on this tour in 2018, It is fabulous.
