We will be going on this trip, although I am dreadfully concerned about the heat. Is there anyone out there reading this who will be on the same trip? We are flying to GrandJunction one day early.

    Hopefully the floods won't affect you. There has been major flooding and all lodges were closed due to a water main break. Hopefully they will have it fixed.

    Grand Canyon (North and South Rim)- check National News or Google. Saw it on NBC on Monday. Mostly a flash flood- killed a lone hiker somewhere, but issue with lodges was a water main break caused by a washout. Latest info from the web is that lodges will open 9/5.
