Christmas Markets Dusseldorf to Basel 2024
Hello we are the December 13, 2024 aboard the Inspire, and looking forward to this trip. I was wondering what you recommend in Basel as we will have the evening and part of the next day. Let me know if you will also be on this trip.

Basel is known as the cultural capital of Switzerland and has many world-class museums. Given the probable brisk weather and limited time available, a museum visit might be the best option. Have a wonderful and festive cruise.
Since Basel itself nor its Christmas markets are not visited during your tour, spend one evening visiting the two XMAS Mkts on the Barfüsserplatz and Münsterplatz, which are an easy walk from the hotel. AlanS - do you remember the name of the chocolate shop in Lucerne?
Chocolatier Bachmann - Schwanenplatz. The motor coach pickup point was right out front. They had chocolates, candy, and gifts and a small cafe that served soups, sandwiches, pasta, etc. https://www.confiserie.ch/en/sandwichservice/menu/menues
In addition to the best hot chocolate, it was a great place to get warm and to grab a bite to eat while waiting for the motor coach.
