HOw many hours before your flight do you leave Lucerne for ZRH at trip's end?
Looking at flight options. At the end of the trip, how far in advance of your flight departure time do you leave the hotel in Lucerne for Zurch airport?

Google distance from Lucerne to Zurich Airport. There are many choices.
Its only about a 30-45 minute drive but they'll try to get you there 3 hours early for an international flight. If you're flying business class, which gets you through check in and security faster, you might not need that.
BKMD - After the Crown Jewels tour, which also ends in Lucerne, we had a 9:50 a.m. flight. I know that we left fairly early, but I do not recall the exact time. Overall, I have a positive recollection of the transfer and flight. We did stay an extra night in Lucerne.
Tauck always allows three hours. Our limo service at home is the same. The only time Tauck did not allow three hours for a flight, a whole group of us got stuck in traffic and the airport was packed. We were flying business and were fast tracked, and just made it, I have no idea if the rest of our group did, it was a very stressful end to a vacation and I always think being at the airport early is a sensible thing to do. If you missed your flight, you would blame Tauck and they don't want that.
For all international flights we try to arrive at the airport about three hours before flight time. We use the business class lounge so waiting a couple of hours (figure an hour to get checked in and through security) is not too bad. I always have my computer with me so I usually do some work on that while we're waiting.

Lotusgirl - I'm looking at the 9:50 flight as well (UA to ORD) and was just wondering if I'll have time for breakfast at the hotel before leaving
I do recall that we did not have time for breakfast at the hotel. I think there was coffee and juice in the lobby. (But, Crown Jewels ends at a different hotel)
That is the same flight that we took.
You can always arrange for the included room service or you can ask for a packaged snack (fruit, roll and coffee) to take with you. I always remind the front desk the night before of our early departure and have them confirm our pick-up service. They almost always ask if we would like room service or a "goody" bag for the road.
Per the itinerary- 41 mi to airport and allow 3 hrs for check in. Figure you'll be leaving 4 hrs before your flight.
