As a very loyal Tauck traveler for 17 trips and more to come, a friend of ours invited us to go on the SilverSeas Cruise line. Do you all think I could handle their recommended dress code requirements/suggestions such as formal wear, semi-formal wear, sportscoat for my husband, nice slacks and pants? I am comfortable how I dress when I travel with Tauck and get compliments here on occasion. Thank you.

I was on a cruise several years ago that had one formal night. I chose to eat at their alternative informal restaurant that night.

Google ‘silversea dress code’ and you will see a ‘what to pack’ section. The dress code differs between ocean cruising and ‘expedition.’ I thought the site was very informative. Hope this helps.

Silversea is great. I have done them with nothing but a sport coat and tie. Not that difficult and worth the bother Your butler will be better dressed. Unless you have a butler at home you will probably be hard pressed to figure out what to do with him. No, it is not a jeans and sweatshirt cruise.
