September 2025 recap Yellowstone and Grand Teton

This was our second Tauck small group tour of national parks. Loved it! Pack a lot of layers, mornings were cold, but the days definitely warmed up and sun is very warm. The float trip was calm, two hour was almost to long, but it was peaceful though and the scenery of the tetons amazing. Grand Teton park was my favorite. The stay at Jackson Lake Lodge and the cabins facing the mountains unreal. Heard elk every morning. Yellowstone park we covered a lot of ground in a short amount of time, there is so much land!
The last couple of days on the bus we traveled a lot, but always took a break every couple of hours. We did seem to have a lot of buffet meals, I'm not sure if it was because end of season so staff was low, because within the parks, or normal procedure. We traveled with wonderful people, our tour director and driver amazing. Tauck gives you the best they can offer you within the parks, and we had no complaints. Binoculars were helpful. Small group leaves plenty of room to leave coats and backpack on bus.
