Cruising the Galapagos FOOTWEAR

I am wondering what the best footwear will be for our upcoming trip. Rubber soled "pool shoes" for wet landings? And for the islands explorations - regular comfortable sneakers? Or something more rugged like hiking or all-road type shoes? Thank you in advance for your input on this!
