Return Cuba tripFeb 9-13
We returned yesterday. The country is in bad shape do to what is happening in the world. We only had 1 blackout for about 10minutes. Gas is very scarce & limited to police. our hotel was fine- hot water & clean. Breakfast was always a buffet but with an egg station.
Make sure you bring CASH in small bills. They don't take credit cards even at the hotel.
The food was good- rope veja, pork, lobster, seafood black beans, rice. There is know where to buy toiletries, medicine, snacks etc. so stock up what you like (leave what you don't use for hotel staff) Bottled water was always available. Suggestion to bring for them-
For the children- programs we visited. They are in need of Pics, quitar strings, coloring books, colored pencils, art supplies.
Tooth brushes, tooth paste, deoderant, toiletries, over the counter medicine. Go with an open mind & enjoy.
