Is there a place on boat to practice musical instrument

    On a river cruise ship? Not really. Except for the newest ships the gym located on the lowest deck is often empty and some ships have small treatment rooms for massages that you might be able to use if no one else was. The rest of the ship is cabins and open public spaces.

    Being a singer, there have been times when I wanted to keep my voice in shape - I once had rehearsals for a musical starting the day after we returned from a cruise. Don't know if you'll be on a river or ocean, but some options to explore are:

    • ship's theater when rehearsals aren't going on

    • a venue on the ship prior to opening hours

    • outside on the bow or stern (or other outside location) of the ship

    Opportunities are better when folks are off on excursions, so perhaps arriving back to the ship earlier than most could allow for more options.

    I think the ship will try to accommodate you, if at all possible. Of course, I have no idea what instrument you would be using, and that could certainly enter into the decision.
