Oops ! Tried to deliver all pix at end. Some thoughts: Early September was a great time to visit South Africa and Zimbabwe. Temperatures good for travel. No mosquitoes in Kruger or the Falls. Plenty of animals daily on game drives. We arrived 3 days early in Capetown and glad we did. Non-stop from Atlanta ( or DC ) the way to go. At V & A harbor kiosk near hotel, we purchased hop on bus and cable car tickets with credit card. We took the RED hop on/off bus to Table Mountain ( stop 7) before tour started on a sunny day. Stop 8 was Camps Bay Beach. great for a walk and superb dining at Codfathers. Cape Grace hotel has a great speakeasy type bar with jazz duo and small bites. The Robben Island ferry and tour was an interesting and sobering history lesson. Den Anker is a wonderful restaurant for dinner ( some Belgian items ) but Kingclip dinner outstanding. Early PM before tour started we took a relaxing catamaran ride. You can exchange US loot for SA Rand at mall on V & A. Very casual tour as expected. Stellar TD Barbara handled everything flawlessly. No one starved ! Bottled water always provided. In Jo'burg, after big tasty tapas lunch we stayed at hotel and dined outside on pizza ( not the safest city ). The lodges at Lion Sands and Sabi Sabi were excellent for both food and game drive guides and trackers. Victoria Falls Sundowner cruise was fun. helicopter ride a thrill. Elephant sanctuary a true treat. Another great Tauck Adventure.
Great wildlife photos! Thanks.
