What a fantastic trip! Certainly, one of the best Tauck tours we have taken (and we've taken many)! The itinerary was great, the food was really good, we had wonderful accommodations, and our trip director - Guy Trangos -was amazing!
We had no issues on the trip, saw no spiders or other creatures in any of our rooms, and encountered no mosquitoes. I only used bug spray once, on my lower legs, when we went out on a game drive in the early evening. The only animal we saw near any of our accommodations was a sweet, pregnant Impala who hung out next to our room at Ngala. Also, an earlier review about the great gift shop at Ngala was very accurate!
As a caution, it was a little difficult climbing in and out of the game drive vehicles, so people with mobility issues should be forewarned. And, I had side effects from the malaria preventative (mostly stomach related), but my husband had none.
