Spirit of the Desert in October

Hi all. Has anyone taken this trip in October? I'm looking for temperature/packing info. Most of the previous posts are from many years ago!

I live out here and have visited all those sights on our own. Oct is a lovely time with often sunny days in the 60s and 70s but the temps at night generally drop to the 30-40s. So layering is the best way to go. It's a casual tour so you don't need to waste packing space on dressy clothing. Comfortable walking shoes, a hat for the sun, a mix of long/short sleeve shirts, sweater/fleece layer, wind resistant jacket roomy enough to fit over layers. Keep hydrated and wear sunscreen.

We went at the end of May this year. The weather was fine, maybe a bit cool in the early am (remember most locations are at altitude where it can be cooler in the mornings and evenings.) The hottest was in Vegas, but we didn't spend any time there. Check WeatherSpark which is a great site for detailed weather. Select your site and time (day, week, or month). https://weatherspark.com/m/3012/10/Average-Weather-in-October-in-Moab-Utah-United-States
