Rhine Connoisseur North Bound from Montreaux to Brussels October 5, 2025

We will be arriving in Paris on the second for 2 1/2 days before arriving in Montreaux on the 5th. Is anyone traveling by train on the 5th and know what train station to come into?

  • I believe there is only one train station in Montreux. It's a very small city. Population about 26k. Your tour does include transfer from that train station. Make sure Tauck has your travel plans. They'll need to know the train number, arrival time, etc. You can do that online in your acct or call Tauck.

  • We are taking this trip in early June. We have 3 extra days in Brussel s. Any ideas of things /sites not to be misses. All guidance is appreciated!

  • Options in Brussels: Just returned from the tulip cruise and have been to Begium before. Brussels has great train connections either from central station(smaller) and Midi(Zuid) which is larger. A day trip to Ghent or Brugge or both. Easy access by train 50 to 70 minutes. Or consider staying in Brugge. If you have not been or are not planning on going to Brugge, go to Brugge it great. Stay a little latter in the day to let the day tours leave. The De Halve Brewery tour is interesting. Day trip to Leuven. Take the train back to Antwerp and tour the red star line museum, the Print Museum and a more in-depth tour of the Cathedral of our Lady(reservation via their website. We took the one with the tower tour-187 stairs and loved it.). Day trip to Lille France. Tour Brussels. We use With Locals (guide was Christophe) and it was great. They also have a day trip tour to Leuven which also looked interesting. You can also take day trips to Flanders Field. Dinant is also a good day trip but a little further away.

  • We are travelling in June as well. Thank you, Ben, for the suggestions for things to do in Brussels. We are new to Tauck and looking forward to getting to know other people on our cruise.
