Things to do safely in Guayaquil

Been to Guayaquil twice. These days it’s not safe to walk around. There has been a lot of unrest. You won’t be missing anything. Rest up and eat at the hotel. If there is a spa, maybe use that. The times we were there it was two different hotels

Guayaquil can be visited, but it requires a high degree of caution, awareness, and adherence to safety protocols, similar to other large cities but with elevated risks due to the current security situation. Always check current travel advisories from your government before traveling

We have walked there, it’s ok but wouldn’t say, wow you have to see this. If you go out, do take off your jewelry, only take a bit of cash and be aware of your surroundings. Speak to the hotel concierge and get the latest assessment. We love the Galapagos, we are going again in the summer….this trip, it starts in Quito
