  • HarrietT,

We went last October....you'll fall in love with Morocco like we did! It was one of Tauck's best trips ever! Enjoy each day!

  • Yes, Morocco is a very good tour. We went in 2022. If you want a preview of your trip, go to https://www.mikeandjudytravel.com/2022-1Morocco-01.htm

    • Thank you! The tour actually starts March 26, we are going early.
  • We did this trip in 2023. Loved it. One thing- make sure you don’t drink the tap water. Bring antibiotics for a bout of travelers diarrhea. A bunch of people on our trip got it and needed to take some azithromycin. Best to be prepared. We stuck to bottled water and did not eat food from street vendors, and were fine.

  • We had to do same in Africa. We put a washcloth over the faucet as reminder. No street food for sure!

  • Bottle water is in abundance no matter where you go in Morocco. The motor coach you'll be traveling in has cases of bottle water, and every hotel has bottle water in your rooms. Yes, stick with bottle water and you'll be AOK! It's an awesome trip with lovely people!

  • From what I’ve read we will need some Moroccan Dirham but not sure how much to convert since we can’t bring it back to the states.
We are not big shoppers and would use CC where we can.
    Thanks in advance*

  • Thank you!

  • Magic of Morocco - April 12 2026 (Just finished).
The people make the trip, especially in the Four Seasons, Marrakech. Just wanted to post one ‘issue’ - the ‘Hammam’ ‘scrub’ that was promoted to us - was the worst experience ever. This was the ‘female’ version, and I wrote to the hotel about it. We seemed to have had experiences dissimilar to the men’s. The Four Seasons is/are looking into it - they were very gracious in their reply to my email. The attendant kept abandoning me/us in the Sauna and ignored the overwhelming heat and its effects. As for comfort and modesty — there was none. Don’t let anyone ‘sell’ you on this — the rest of the hotel experience was quite superior.

  • When we went to Morocco which was not with Tauck, we were in a fantastic boutique hotel in the countryside. We had a couples Hammam and we were never left alone. There is no modesty, I was stood up at the end in front of the guy who was attending my husband and vice versa with my female attendant. They really really scrub you very hard. It’s hot and then freezing water is thrown over you an the end. Apparently Moroccans frequently have these massages. Within a couple of days my husband developed what I assume was a fungal rash under his armpits which took some time to heal with topical medication. I had some bruises. I’m glad we had the experience, we certainly felt clean, but I may not want to repeat it.
