Southern France is very warm in August and you should be prepared for not only heatwaves but large crowds as well. I am sure both men and women will be wearing shorts during the excursions. Tauck requests that you not wear shorts and “flip flops” in the dining room.
It is one of our favorite river tours and the food and wine are plentiful. Enjoy.
Paris highs around 80 but it can be warmer. The south of France can be around 90. Shorts are fine. Sink washable clothes are recommended. Hat is needed. Light sweater or fleece for an evening on deck. There should be cooling evenings breezes.
