Brush blow dryer

I understand no curling irons are allowed onboard. I have a brush blow dryer and would like to use it, rather than the blow dryers Tauck provides. Anyone else in the same boat? ;-)

They are both heated appliances which is a fire concern on the river cruise ships. If it's dual voltage you can bring it but don't attempt using it until you ask the staff if it's ok. If it's not dual voltage, don't bother packing it at all.

I always pack my blowout brush. Sometimes I run into European hotels that do not like that much power in the bathrooms and limit power to razers; so i need to use the outlet on a desk or vanity. I seem to remember the Esprit ship having enough power in bathrooms. As long as it is dual voltage and you have an adapter, you should be great. Also, I always have a curling iron. It has never been an issue.

I've been on 7 Tauck river cruises and Scylla - the company that actually owns and operates the ships - always warn about using heated appliances. It's a safety issue. Same reason power may be limited in some hotels. The river cruise ships only have European outlets in the bathrooms. Dual voltage and check with the staff before using. Not that hard.
